Bowls England Top Club Epsom played at home against Leatherhead in the Bowls England Top Club on Thursday 4th June 2026. They lost 2 - 3. Epsom won the Two wood Singles & Pairs & lost the Singles, Triples & Fours. Details: Singles: Keith Roberts lost 11 - 21 Keith was 3 - 12 down after 9 ends & 9 - 15 behind on end 15. He lost by 10 shots after 19 ends. Two Wood: Stefan Tomm won 17 - 7 Stefan was 10 - 2 ahead after 9 ends & 13 - 7 in the lead on end 15. He won by 10 shots after 17 ends. Pairs: Roger Jackson Les Owen won 20 - 12 Epsom led 8 - 7 after 9 ends & 16 - 12 on end 15. They won the last 3 ends to win by 8 shots. Triples: Paul Maskell John Warren Martin Harbottle lost 12 - 25 Epsom led 9 - 6 after 9 ends, but were 12 - 15 down on end 15. They dropped a total of 11 shots over the last 3 ends to lose by 13 shots. Fours: Dennis King John Hart Bob Blaker Norman Mann lost 13 - 15 Epsom were 7 - 12 down after 9 ends & 8 - 14 behind on end 12. They won the next 5 ends to be 13 - 14 behind. They lost the last end to lose by 2 shots. Final Score: Epsom 2 Leatherhead 3 Epsom 73 shots Leatherhead 80 shots. Paul & Dennis played in their very first game in this Competition. Did you know This was the first time that these 2 clubs had met in the Bowls England Top Club. Epsom first entered this Competition in 2004. Of our current members Martin Harbottle, Stefan Tomm & Les Owen played in this first game. Epsom beat Old Coulsdon 3 - 2 (they won the Two Wood, Singles & Pairs). Epsom lost in the 3rd round to Cheam Village. |

Ladies Friendly Epsom played away against Carshalton on Thursday 4th May 2026 in a Triples game. They lost 22 - 32. After 9 ends across the 2 rinks Epsom were 8 - 19 down & lost by 10 shots. Details: Rink 3 Penny Payne Mary Green Fi Drinkall lost 10 - 12 The scores were level 5 - 5 after 9 ends, but Epsom were 9 - 10 behind on end 15. They lost by 2 shots. Rink 4 Sue Skinner Sandie Harvey Christine Summerfield lost 12 - 20 Epsom were 3 - 14 down after 9 ends & lost by 8 shots. Final Score: Epsom 22 Carshalton 32 |

Bowls England Ladies - Top Club Epsom travelled away to play against Bookham in the Bowls England Top Club on Tuesday 2nd June 2026. They lost on all disciplines & the match 54 - 81. Details: Singles: Annette Jordan lost 15 - 21 Annette was 5 - 12 down after 9 ends, but drew level 15 - 15 on end 19. She lost the next 4 ends to lose by 6 shots. Pairs: Sandy Cooper Christine Summerfield lost 15 - 28 Epsom were 9 - 15 down after 9 ends & lost the next 4 ends to be 9 - 23 behind. They lost by 13 shots. Triples: Trish Southgate Mary Green Ruth Baker lost 13 - 17 Epsom led 8 - 6 after 9 ends & 11 - 7 on end 12. They lost the next 4 ends to go behind 11 - 17. They lost by 4 shots Fours: Penny Payne Sue Skinner Sandie Harvey Frances Suttonwood lost 11 - 15 Epsom led 8 - 4 after 9 ends, but were 10 - 12 down on end 15. They lost by 4 shots. East Surrey League - Top Club Epsom travelled away to play against Purley in the East Surrey League Top Club on Tuesday 2nd June 2026. The game did not take place because of bad weather. Epsom won the toss. Epsom play Croydon in the next round. |

Chrystie League Epsom played in their very first Chrystie league game against Bookham on Monday 1st June 2026. They won on 1 rink, lost on 1 rink & won overall 33 - 27 (3 - 1). After 9 ends across the 2 rinks Epsom led 20 - 11 & by 5 shots (28 - 23)on ends 15. They won by 6 shots. Details: Rink 2 Dennis King Terry Mears John Hart Phil Sims lost 15 - 17 Epsom led 10 - 7 after 9 ends, but were 12 - 14 behind on end 15. They went into the last end leading 15 - 14, but dropped 3 shots to lose by 2 shots. Rink 3 James Henderson John Wellard Mick Cooper David Fearn won 18 - 10 Epsom led 10 - 4 after 9 ends & 16 - 9 on end 15. They won by 8 shots. Final Score: Epsom 33 Bookham 27 Epsom 3 points Bookham 1 point Dennis played in his very first Chrystie League match. He becomes the 93rd member of Epsom Bowling Club to play in this league. |
