Did you know

The origins of this Competition are unknown.  However, records show that a B C Windeler presented the Cup in 1927. The Trophy is Silver and hallmarked Birmingham 1927.

From 1927 to 1945 it was a Singles Competition, but from 1946 records show (taken from the Trophy) that it became a Triples or Fours Competition.

The format has varied from year to year, but for many years members are invited to sign up for the Competition or simply turn up on the day.  The organisers then arrange a competition according to how many turn up.  This could be Triples or Fours.

There have been 3 members who have won the Windeler Cup on 3 occasions.
